About the customer
Wiechmann Tourism Service GmbH is a marketing and public relations agency that develops and implements comprehensive marketing strategies for various destinations in the USA, including cities and states. The aim of this marketing is to boost tourism in the cities and states and increase their attractiveness as travel destinations. To this end, WTS works with numerous partners from social media, travel providers, airlines and other service providers in the tourism industry. In addition, they support travel providers in expanding their brand, increasing their customer base and improving their reach with the help of social media and influencer marketing, among other things.
About the project
Salesforce implementation and customisation to WTS business processes, including opportunity process, project budgeting and invoicing
- Mapping of standardised lead and marketing processes
- Capturing data of partners and partner offers (selectable product range) in Salesforce
- Development of a customised opportunity process with the aim of creating a budget plan (instead of a traditional offer)
- Automation through flows to simplify budget planning (product search, etc.)
- Google Drive integration via Drive Connect
- Automated creation of invoices from Salesforce and implementation of a WTS-specific invoicing process

Background information & problem
The biggest challenge for Wiechmann Tourism Service GmbH was an outdated CRM system and extremely complex processes that made daily work difficult. In particular, budget planning and invoicing processes were confusing, difficult to understand and lacked efficiency. Additionally, limited transparency across end-to-end processes made it even harder to maintain oversight and effective management. Accessing the system during business trips was very difficult or even impossible, which significantly restricted daily work.
Approach to solving the problem
To overcome these challenges, we took the following measures:
- Conducting a scoping workshop to analyse the current processes and derive the requirements for Salesforce
- Translating the business processes into Salesforce processes
- Set up the new Salesforce instance and data model
- Map standardised lead and marketing processes
- Customise the Salesforce environment
- Develop WTS-specific processes using custom objects, including a selectable product portfolio, partner and partner offer management, comprehensive budget planning and invoicing directly from Salesforce
- Integration of Google Drive to simplify document management, document generation and linking to Salesforce records
- Implementation of automations and screen flows to support users
